OPERA San Antonio is casting extras, known in opera as supernumeraries, for our production of The Magic Flute. We are looking to engage 2 men and 1 woman for the production. Requirements:

Ideally supers have some basic musical skills. Staging includes marching in time to the music along with other musically cordinated activities.

The female super is a body double for the role of Papagena, which is played by an Afro-Latina singer in this production. Please see the cast list page.

Compensation:

• Supernumerary positions are a volunteer experience that allows you to appear onstage at the Tobin with some of the biggest stars in opera.

• OSA will provide parking for all rehearsals and performanes.

• OSA will offer a $200 stipend for your participation.

• OSA will provide two complimentary tickets to one of the performances.
