Opera San Antonio Opens Season with Pagliacci
The Italian opera is easy to follow and accessible for new and longtime opera fans alike

If you’ve ever sat through an opera and felt impressed by the music but not entirely sure where the plot is headed, Pagliacci is for you.
The debut production of Opera San Antonio’s 2022-23 season, Pagliacci, is a verismo-style Italian opera that is heavy on drama, which cast members say makes it easy for the audience to understand even if they don’t read every word of the English supertitles that will scroll above the performance. It’s on stage at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts Nov. 3 and 5.
